100th Day of Kindergarten!

We celebrated the 100th day of kindergarten by making, cooking, counting and eating 100 pancakes! We read the book The Wolf's Chicken Stew and then decided to make and eat our own 100 pancakes. They helped keep count by recording groups of 10's until we got to 100 on dry erase boards as we cooked. I got too busy helping cook and flip pancakes to take pictures of our boards but they all got a turn to help mix, flip, count and eat. They were excited.

  1. Hey Tishy,
I was just browsing blogs and came up to yours. I'm a fellow Massachusetts kindergarten teacher (Salem). I love the 100 pancakes idea! We have ten days to go before our 100th day, the anticipation is building!

  2. Hi, "Wilburn"!
We just had our 100th day at the Village today-- so much fun. :) Looks like you are staying busy with one thing or another, as always! I like the lilac bedroom, especially with the brown! "R" will have to get over it, huh? It's nice to be able to check out your blog and catch up on your life so easily! Your kids are stinkin' cute in your classroom pix. Hope you are doing well. :)

    Luv,
    Julie :)
