Thanksgiving Day

We were very low key. We only had seven of us here to eat so I actually got to set the tables and have a nice sit down dinner. Very relaxing and we all got full! Hope everybody had a great day! Miss you all! We set a place for Gabe and thought of him the whole day! Miss ya Buddy. The first Thanksgiving without you...Kinda weird. See ya next weekend though.

travs tees

Trav had some tshirts made for us to help advertise his myspace music page. Check out the "puddy" scowl and the office supplies! We think they are hilarious. Can't wait to wear them.

Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving is upon us and I wanted to take this moment to post how thankful I am for my loving family. I don't know how I would get through a day without the support and care I get from my clan! I am so glad that we are able to gather together more often than just holidays and I love how we can just be together and enjoy each other's company. Bless all of you this week and don't forget the simple blessings that we have bestowed upon us each day.

Travis has his first gig!

Travis will be opening for his friends band out of Athens Georgia on November 24, 2007. They will play at The Fishtank on Euclid Avenue at 10:00. Cover is $3.00. Their band is called Corduroy Road and they play a mix of folk(Dylan,Guthrie),country (Hank Williams) and southern rock (Play Free Bird!). They invited him to open for them. Travis has played a few songs at parties and such but never for a crowd. We are having a few people over next Saturday for a pre-concert practice to help him get over some of the "jitters" so to speak and to finalize the order he will play his songs. We are very proud of his work and we are so glad that he is getting out there to share his creations. Gabe is coming in so the whole family will be there to support him. Maybe if he looks out and sees us he will relax some or maybe we will make him worse! I hope not, but having your family at what is traditionally a college bar may be a little embarassing! He'll get over it. With it being Thanksgiving weekend, there won't be too many of the regular crowd in town anyway so we may as well filll it up! I really like some of his new stuff that he has done too. He is supposed to meet with my brother this weekend to record some more of it I think. Speaking of brother, I am going to be an aunt again! Sometime in May. Details will follow.
