We finished our first day and most things went well. I just get so tired of being the talking head. My voice is soft and gets a little iritated when I talk loudly. That seems to go along with the asthma. They were very cute. Can't post a pic yet but will after all of the paperwork in. Here are some of my tables and things. Nothing too new but did lose a teacher desk and seem to have more walk around room.
Drink plenty of water and resist raising your voice. I teach kindergarten too and one and a half years ago I developed a cyst on a vocal cord. It is NOT fun. I seriously thought that after 25 years of teaching it was over for me. Fortunately, advice from an otolaryngologist and getting an amplification system in my classroom helped me to heal without surgery.
ReplyDeleteAs of last year every classroom teacher in Seattle is equipped with a headset and amplification. I love mine; it literally saved my career.

ReplyDeleteSo fun that Teresa and you and I have been able to "connect" via our blogs!! Wouldn't it be fun to be able to visit each other?? Maybe in our next life when we are wealthy enough to jet around the country...HAHAHA
