October 2nd marked 19 years for Roger on the Fire Department. He bought a year so that puts him up to 20, so he can officially retire at any time but will wait until January to do so. He could keep on working but at this time we feel a better option for him would be to retire before he has any injuries (knock on wood) and start another job that allows him to be home more evenings and weekends. Hopefully he can find something he enjoys and will work into our schedule. The Fire Department has been a great career for him and there will be many things he will miss about being on the job.
